Hi!
Some users of mine, whatever I explain, they send personal messages to themselves,
they make threads that they send P.M and no one replies to them.
As I assume this is the problem.
is their a way when they try to send the PM, they get an error?
"You cannot send P.M to your self, bla, bla..."
Thanks for any help.

Boy you sure have your share of issues. Having said that are you still on 4.2.0?

Yes I am sure, because for two users we ask them to take a picture of there inbox, and we see that they put there own user name to send the P.M.
Actually its not an issue, and I want to find a way to give them an error as I describe above.
Thanks

If I had that problem I would disable their PM privileges. Tell them they have to stop doing that or they will remain disabled.

As I wrote above I have made several things about this, but nothing, problem is that they aren't always same users. :D

So, you need a mod to block users sending PM themselfs? :D

Give this a try...it has settings to enable the product and to exclude selected usergroups, that is, to choose usergroups who can send PMs to themselves. :)

Hi Mark, thank you again for your precious help.
Testing the second product:
1st) It works, but error message user will read is "Could not find phrase 'markfl_cannotpmself_msg'."
2nd) Problem with case sensitive, if user puts stratis rather than Stratis message will go.
In second hand who will put his username :D but better is that he must not be able.
3d) The option you have for usergroups, I think is no use.
If it is to be that option it would be better to be able for usernames only and not usergroups, just in case admins want to test their PM's for some how.
Thank you very, very much :)

Okay, here is a revision:
The error message is now part of the product. I inadvertently saved it as part of vBulletin before.
The username check is now case-insensitive.
I left the usergroup option. You can exclude admins using it.

"You cannot send a PM which includes your own username as a recipient. Please use your browser's back button to edit the recipient field accordingly."
No words to say, YOU154400

Stratis,
Here is another revision for the possibility that a user will put spaces before or after their own username...those will now be trimmed when checking the recipient usernames. :)
