Lightbox

Greetings. . .

In threads, when clicked, some pictures open up in the lightbox, some don't. Not sure why this is but I would like none of them to open up in the lightbox, or at least have some control over them.

Anybody know how this can be achieved?

The pictures that open in the lightbox are photos. I disabled the camera icon to discourage the use of photos since the albums don't work correctly anyways. This doesn't help the fact that photos can still be uploaded in the profile page.

Strange. I always upload them in the same manner. . .Not sure how a pic differs from a photo now.

What method are you using to upload your pics? I'm interested to know so I clan close that door as well. I hate the lightbox.

i am uploading basically one of 2 ways...and hoping they fix albums so bad but for now its like

either making an album, but linking images as attachments in another window, similar to vb 3 and 4 procedures but then u need to make them links as well if u want clickable images so then its basically attachments is best, but then all the images are cram to one auto album and not indexed for photo tab/searches so either way is bad

I am really curious, why do you not like the lightbox ? I am just the opposite and love the lightbox when it works properly.

I always use the attachment icon....Every picture is uploaded as an attachment but some of them behave differently hence the thread. . .

I have never used the camera icon on the left hand side..
I will try it today. . And then probably disable it if that is what you were referring to earlier.

I haven't even ventured into the albums yet.. Got no real interest in discovering any further problems and then having to wait forever to get them fixed.:eek:

The lightbox potentially throws off people using it. There is no way to close it without closing the page or using the 'back' button. (at least that is the way it behaves for me)
Clicking on a picture to view it and then what? Close the tab? Bit stupid if you ask me. . .
