I removed vBSEO from the forum and used the suggested rewrite code for threads and it works
Unfortunately i could not get forum members and groups rewrite to work, any ideas what i could try ?
http://www.site.com/members/user-5.html to http://www.site.com/member.php?u=5
http://www.site.com/groups/new-group.html to http://www.site.com/group.php?groupid=1
This is what i have now in the .htaccess file:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule [^/]+/([0-9]+)-[^/]+\.html http://www.site.com/showthread.php?t=$1 [L,R=301]
RewriteRule [^/]+/([0-9]+)-[^/]+\.html http://www.site.com/forumdisplay.php?f=$1 [L,R=301]
Redirect 301 /forum/subforum http://www.site.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1
Redirect 301 /forum/subforum/subforum http://www.site.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2

Might hit up Joe (BirdofPrey) he helped me with some custom redirects after I removed vbseo on one of my sites.

Unfortunately groups can't be redirected being as there is no ID number in the URL.
If your VBSEO was setup to actually put a userid in the URL for your Member's profile pages then you are really lucky because I've never seen a VBSEO setup that actually did that- and without the userid in the URL you would be out of luck there too.
However given the example URL you provided:
http://www.site.com/members/user-5.html
Try this rewrite rule
RewriteRule members/.+-(\d)\.html http://www.site.com/member.php?u=$1 [L,R=301]
If that's not it, it's close. If you can post an actual link it might help if I need to fix it.

I need to know what your old link looked like. An example would be great.

Here is an example:
OLD: http://bvlist.com/p2p/news/introduce-yourself/
NEW: http://bvlist.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38
Thanks

Again, if there's no id number in the old links there's no way to do an automatic rule.
I suppose you could add a rule for every single forum you had but it doesn't seem efficient-
If you wanted to though as an example;
RewriteRule p2p/news/introduce-yourself/ http://bvlist.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 [L,R=301]

The thing is that after the last changes i started getting white pages on Firefox and Opera but not IE or Chrome. Any ideas why?

RewriteRule members/.+-(\d)\.html http://www.bvlist.com/member.php?u=$1 [L,R=301]
