My users noticed that when they comment their post count doesn't go up. I have never given much thought in post count but it seems it's a big deal to some.

Anyway I've read on some other threads/forums that there is a setting to allow/disallow post counting on comments. I have not found such a setting.

Does anyone know if this is a setting and share a path to it? If it isn't, does anyone know of a fix to do this?

I'm on 5.1.9-PL3

PS. I wasn't sure what prefix to use.... sorry

In vBulletin 4 you have a setting at the forum manager (channel management in vB5?) when you edit a specific forum. It's called "Count Posts Made in this Forum Towards User Post Counts", does vB5 have such setting perhaps? I can't check since I don't own a vBulletin 5 forum.

Thank you for the reply. My last attempt at an update went pretty poorly, so I'm now thinking that unless there is a fairly significant security risk I will just stay where I am and try to fix the issues. I really don't like the 3 steps back for the eventual 1 forward with each update.

I wasn't able to find any such area/setting. but thank you for the help!
