This is my website jandeane81.com.

When i logged into my forum today i went to this thread in our members area. This is the thread link below. You have to be logged into my forum to see the thread

http://jandeane81.com/threads/7587-Art-bell-mp3-links

When i click on that above thread i am greeted with a pop up box saying a username and password is required.

A pop up appears and says the server http://samepage.io requires a username and password

First of all what is this?

secondly why was i never notified that this company could do this ?

Is there anyway to get rid of it.

Many thanks

Malcolm

My guess is that you allow HTML in your posts or in the signature of people. You have to disable that since that's a huge security risk.

Thanks Dave for you quick reply.

I have just checked and the htlm is switched off for all posts and signatures.

The funny thing is its only on this thread on thread that i mentioned before.Could this be some sort of take down notice from this company

Ah, it's caused by the embedded audio file in the third post: http://jandeane81.com/threads/7587-Art-bell-mp3-links?p=841934404&viewfull=1#post841934404

It only happens when the script or web-server which hosts the file prompts a 401 authentication required pop-up.
