Hello, please in vb 4.x, can i select to be automatically subscribed to receive email notification when someone reply topic i created BUT not receive email notification if i post into someone else topic? Any workaround for this?

i know i can manually select the subscription each time, but i wish i have this ticked by default:

- when i create topic, im automatically subscribed
- when i post to someone elses topic, im automatically not subscribed

If understood well, here what I have for this.
- in user profile in admincp has an option "Automatic Thread Subscription Mode"
I have this to "Instant email notification"

or

"Settings" - "General Settings" - "Default Thread Subscription Mode"
select "instantly, using email"

Description in vb
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Hope it helps you :)

* And if you want default for all members find it in "Options" admincp

Stratis: i think you are wrong there.

the "Automatic Thread Subscription Mode" is for both posts and threads. As per description: "When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads"

this do not allow only thread subscription and exclude posts subscription.

Yes, this is only if default is not to send anything, than you must do as you say.

If your settings are as I have above than all is ok.
These settings I have to my forum. At least you can try
