I don't personally know of any existing add-on that does that.
Are you looking to restrict users forever to a certain number of posts in certain forums, or are you looking to impose time-based limits, such as a certain number of posts per day or week, etc.?
Do you want to be able to define different limits for different usergroups? Do you want different limits for different forums?

Hi Mark, thanks for replying.
Lets say that some sites don't want in "welcome" forums, members to make many post or other forum they want to stop spamming.
* Restrict users forever to a certain number of posts in certain forums. But choose which usergroup, not different limits, i think there is no purpose for that.
Do you want different limits for different forums?
Maybe this is ok, it depends how easy it is.

Stratis, here is a preliminary add-on that I would ask you to download and test and let me know if this is what you have in mind.
Download and import the attached .XML file, and then set the settings like you want:

Please let me know any changes you would like. Once everything is like you want, I will publish it and list you as a co-author. :)

Actually it does not work, there is not something that I can make wrong.
its very easy as you made it, and its what I want, hope many others find this useful.
I have tested many ways. it seams that mod does not exists

What it should do if a user is restricted is hide all of the buttons/links that allow new posts to be made. How do you have the settings set, and what result are you getting?

Yes I understand, I read code in xml. Buttons are still there and can make new thread - posts
as well. I have tested many ways, even without "Excluded Usergroup(s)"
tested even checked all "Restricted Forums" it seams that does not make any effect.
Tested with Post Limit with mine 5 different members connection I have for this purpose.
is there a way that some other mod can stop this to work?

Try changing the execution order to 65535 for the two plugins and see if that fixes it. It could be that other add-on(s) are interfering in some way.
If not, I would have to check your site out as an admin to see why it's not working there. So, if it doesn't work after the above suggested change, and you want me to investigate, PM to me the login credentials for an admin account. :)

Yes I changed order from 5 to 65535, results is that now I don't see new thread button as before, but when I press the thread to read it, inside I see button to make post.
I will send you link, I am at my work now, and I cannot be in my PC when I want.
Hope I will catch you inside to proceed test.
Thanks Mark
