I have had a vBulletin forum for 6 years. It is 3.7.2 I have since received my master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I would like to change my own user name but the program tells me I am not allowed to do so. How can I get around this?
Thank you,
Joanna

Remove your member ID from the config, then you can edit your name on your site just remember to keep a copy of the file before you change it once you have changed it then replace the default config

More specifically, remove your userid from this config setting in the /includes/config.php file:
// ****** UNDELETABLE / UNALTERABLE USERS ******
// The users specified here will not be deletable or alterable from the control panel by any users.
// To specify more than one user, separate userids with commas.
$config['SpecialUsers']['undeletableusers'] = '';

And once you done editing your name put your ID back in "UNDELETABLE / UNALTERABLE USERS" to protect it again.
