accessing forums

hey guys, few people across globe are having problems getting on forum, for them its 404 error and i checked in with my host and they said that its not from their end etc.
i heard something about .htaccess file that can help?

I would suggest asking your users to run a trace and then providing it to your host so they can figure out where the problem is.
