today's events or calendar functionality in the header temp

...would be cool. i have used the today's events hack b4, it would be uber cool to have this functionality in the header template to incorporate into my new layout i'm working on. :)

the hack is already writen but sysmom says it breaks the calendar if you move it to the header...
