Maybe we could have monthly contests and then give this out as a prize? :)
(I love teasing! :D)

I'd only use it if it had free automatic forwarding...
Last thing I need is another mailbox to check.

I agree with the above posting, the server this is on is, in a way, slow. vBulletin has had many people on (more than 56) at a time and no errors came upon it as with this site. It may not be your fault but I get a lot of errors when 50+ people are on this website. Who is your host??

vBulletin.com and .org are on the same server, and I don't have any idea what are the specs.

That is why then, if you had another server for vB.org then it would not be so slow not would you have half as many errors as you are having at this time.

This site is hosted across 2 servesr (one web and one database) - each with 1GB of RAM and I think the processors are 850MHz - 1GHz.
At any one time there are at least 4-500 users online on this server...often as many as 800. vBulletin.org is not big enough to need it's own server yet, and we couldn't afford one if it did :)
The speed and database error issues should be fixed now, thanks to Chris Schreiber :)

Where is it hosted? And how much is it...I'm looking into hosting for my own site.

I know this is not an advertising board but if you are looking into some cheap, but good hosting, I would suggest www.remarkablehosting.com - they have something called "Private Servers" which you get like 750MB of space and 20GB of bandwidth and tons of admin features just as if you owned the server (just without the hassle of upgrading or installing software).

Do you know of any pay-per-impression advertisers?

If I did I would place them on my website, I hate that ads have went to dogs. Advertising just seems to have went down so much unless you own a website that is majorly popular :(.

These servers are hosted by Verio's dedicated server ( www.dedicatedserver.com ) division (physically located just outside of Washington, DC). There are two servers, one for Apache and the other for MySQL. Each is a dual Pentium-III/850 with 1GB ram and dual 18GB 10k SCSI drives. They are quite capable of handling all the users from several large sites.

Thanks for the tip but hosting like this is not enough - as Chris pointed out we have 2 very powerful dedicated servers - a virtual server would crash within minutes with the kind of load that we would give it :)
