Installation is as simple as uploading the included files and importing the XML. You only need to edit the settings if you wish to configure which usergroups have access to certain commands.

I haven't considered making an Arrowchat-type system as of yet, if that's what you mean. :)

Firebolt's source code is now available on Github (https://github.com/xijbx/firebolt) under the MIT license, and I plan to release 1.3.0 within the next few days, featuring a Facebook-like messaging system. :)

Installed on my site and looks good. Would be nice to have the option to hide/minimise. Nice job mate, i'll be keeping an eye out for updates.

A couple of other improvements that would be nice now that i've played around with it.

1. Admin can change user timeout limit, i changed manually but would be nice to be able to do it from the shout if possibe?
2. Would like the option of having the shoutbox show on all pages rather than just Forum Home.

I will no longer be maintaining this modification as vBulletin refuses to give me access to my own account back.

Until such a time that I do get access to my account back (as I refuse to buy another license as they've asked me to) permission is given for any user to take over this project.

Just knowing the address isn't enough IMO.

If it was me:
- I'd message every month saying I want my account back, with as much detail as possible explaining why I'm the owner.

Details include:
- Name registered on the account.
- Email address associated with the account.
- Payment method used to purchase the license.
- Website the license was associated with and provide proof showing that you're the administrator with backend (phpmyadmin) access to the website.
- Ask them to check your current ISP- so they can check to see if it matches with your previous posts (before and after you lost the account).
- Provide them with full details of your real name & address (passport/drivers license as evidence).

^ Those are just some of the things I'd do to get my account back, if I was in the same situation as you.
Total transparency and supply as much evidence as possible.
Additionally, comply with any demands/suggestions they give (I'd doubt they'd demand anything unreasonable).

If I was in their situation (especially since vbulletin just been hacked recently (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=320689)), I'd probably wait 1 year to give you back your account.
Why?
Well in case somebody else claims to be the owner of your account.
If nobody else claims it for a whole year, then it's most likely yours.

Rather than signing in with your email address, use your VB account number instead; then you can update your email from the Members area.

Avatars can be added with a small modification to the source/template. However, as I have dropped support for this plugin, I will not be releasing an update to enable this.

You could modify the engine to only allow message posting to certain usergroups, yes. Let me know if you need any help enabling this.
