In Forum Manager we see in "Enable / Disable Features" option "Count Posts Made in this Forum Towards User Post Counts"

If this is set to No, posts made in this forum will not be added to users' post counts (which are displayed on showthread).

Can this change to take effect only to posts and not threads as it does.
I have team members that reply to new members, I want these post not count.

Thanks for any help :)

I have attached a very simple add-on that will increase the post count of a user posting a thread in ALL forums where posts are not counted.

So, what you need to do is set the post count not to be increased in one or more forums, and then import the attached product, and you will find that those who post new threads will have their post count incremented, but all others subsequently posting in those threads will not have their post count increased.

Please let me know if this does what you need.

Hi Mark and thanks for answering.

Tested, this actually as i get, works for new posts and definitely not for old ones.

Situation is that I have a welcome introduce category, so all my team members welcome new members every day. When I use the above option as I mentioned the system counts 1 less thread (thread that my team member made when he introduce him self.
If we know what code is that option maybe changing to post instead of thread that is now could do the job?

I'm not sure what you're saying is happening.

On my local dev site, the thread count is correctly incremented when a new thread is started in the forum where posts are not counted.

ok suppose you have 40 threads and 1500 posts.
From 1500 you have the 500 post are from that forum that we have the option not to count post. What will happen? to they incremented to? Testing in my test forum works only
for new, the olds ones stays so it means that you still have 1500 post.
Sorry for my bad English. and thanks

Oh, the add-on I wrote does not work retro-actively, it only works for new threads/posts. You would need to execute one or more SQL queries to fix the existing problem. :D

Thanks Mark, but don't have with SQL queries :)
