cant download anything

when i click on download hack link, i always get this **** message:

There is a link in your User CP to 'License Info'. Click on that and then enter your username in the page that comes up.

Yep, or you can just go to vBulletin and enter it in the members area. Thats what the license info links to from your profile here.

Wow, what a good idea it is to try and combat piracy. I've got an idea, why don't they setup a site where you can download vBulletin for free! What a GOOD idea!

I am still getting that nagging message that I am not logged in when I want to DL a hack

I'm having the same message appear, and my license information is entered. I also activated via the email received on Tuesday.

Yes I also have followed the link you suggested and I am registered at vBulletin.com
I am also registered at vBulletin.org as shown in the member area.
I am logged in and still cannot download.
What other options are there?
I obviously am (was) not the only one who has problems with this issue.

You need to enter your name -after- you activate your account through e-mail.

Nope.

Because then I could register using (For example) 'Ed Sullivan', but of course the e-mail would get to him.
But then I will just go to the form, and it will make me a Licensed member, and by that I basically bypass the e-mail confirmation.

I don't like to do it because when I reregister it says that the name garuda is already taken and I like to keep the same name

OK.. just clicked on the link in the email. Got:

We could not activate your account because this web address is not valid. Make sure that you have the entire address from the email, and that your email client has not split the address over several lines.

Clicked on the Activation Form link. It already had my username in it. Entered my activation code from the email. Got:

Went to CP, checked License info. It shows my username. Clicked the button and tried to dl.. Still unable to do so.

I then removed the username and reentered my name. Got:

Registered usernames updated!

And now I can download!! WOOT!!

SO, in summary.. if you are having problems dl'ing and your username is already listed, remove it and re-enter it. That seems to be the fix.
