Is it at all possible to mod the blog system so that posting a blog as uncategorized is not allowed?

I need my users to be required to choose a category when posting a blog?

Perhaps if the system would cause an error to the user if no category was selected?

Any ideas would help.

Yep, set up the blog you will not get that using it out of the box. You have to change the settings for it in order to do that and you can change the uncategorized category to whatever name you want it to be.

It will still post blogs as uncategorized if someone does not pick a category. The only way would be to edit the phrase but even doing that brings its own problems

Not sure I want to just change the name of "uncategorized". If I do that people will still be posting blogs unknowingly into a category ... I need them to physically chooose.
