I need some help with this. Here's what I'm looking for:
When a post is moderated and someone - like a mod or admin - replies to it, the reply is then also moderated. I need a way to turn this off for one or maybe more forums so that when a moderator replies to a moderated post the reply is not moderated and everyone can see it.
As a bonus if there's a way for the original moderated post to also automatically become unmoderated (approved) when a mod replies to it, that would be great, but it's not a deal breaker.
Now that I think about this, if this were to work globally instead of just select forums that would also be okay. And yes, I need this to work on posts, not threads.
I may also be able to pay a small fee for this if needed.
Thanks.

I didn't see this thread before replying by PM to your thread in the "Requests for Paid Services" forum. I should have a product developed for you soon. :D
edit: I should mention this would be for vBulletin 4.x.x.

I have the product developed, but before uploading it, I wanted to check with you to see if the following settings cover everything you had in mind:

Once I have done a final set of exhaustive tests, and you are satisfied with the above options, I will upload the product in the "vBulletin 4.x Add-ons" forum. ;)

If this is for a paid request you need to do this in private

Although I initially replied to the OP's paid request by PM, I had stated in the PM that I would be glad to do it for free, and then this morning I noticed this thread here in the unpaid requests forum.
No money will be changing hands; I saw this project as one of utility and a chance for me to gain coding experience. :D

I understand but the op still has not replied due to his Last Activity: 10 Apr 2015 22:55 so not to waste your time coding something he might not use might be best to wait until he replies

I've been busy all day and just saw your PM and then saw these posts.
The options you have look awesome, I can't think of anything else that I'd want, it's more than I was expecting.
I really do appreciate you doing this. Let me know when you have something to try out.

As we speak, I am adding the option to choose whether descendent forums are set when setting the active forums. It occurred to me that there may be instances where an admin does not want all descendents to be set. :D
I will have a product uploaded no later than tomorrow, and I will post a link to the product thread here in this thread. This is a good idea and I will be using it on my forum as well. :cool:

Thanks, I'm glad that someone else saw some value in it too.

I now have a product for you to test out. :D
As of now, thread visibility is not affected, only posts as you originally requested, but before I upload the product in the "vBulletin 4.x Add-ons" forum, I want to give the option for the thread to be auto-approved as well, and this will take some time for me to figure out.
So, download the attached XML file, then follow:
AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> [Add/Import Product]
And then browse to the downloaded XML file and click "Import."
Then go to:
Settings -> Options ->MarkFL: Auto-Approve Posts On Reply v1.0
And enable the product, and set the other options as you choose.
Please let me know if anything does not work as you expect or any other feedback for improvement. In the meantime I will be working to give the option for auto-approving threads. :D
