How do I remove the area as marked in the attachment with red? It is the area below posts.

You could edit the (showthread I believe) template and <vb:comment>Code is here to hide</vb:comment> comment out the code that displays the blocks OR use css to hide as shown here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2540689).

The bookmarks can be turned off in the options not sure about the other side
