I have been trying to install Vbulletin 5 on Godaddy for a few days now, during the install it hangs at 76% usually at Template group Screen layout. any suggestions about installing on godaddy ?
please don't suggest another hosting company.

I am not sure if it works on Vb5 but on Vb4 you can just restart the install and it will continue where it left off. ## Correction - as BOP posted in the other thread you run the upgrade script and make a few tries.. Not the install script.

I would also ask godaddy. If you have a very cheap package you may not have the memory allotment for the install queris.

GoDaddy isn't recommended unless you get a Deluxe package.
That being said, if you made it to 75%, then you can probably switch to the upgrade.php script to finish the installation.

I got the solution from Vbulletin to run the upgrade and it worked.
