Hello,
We just upgraded from 4.2.2 Patch level 1 to Patch level 4....
reCaptcha was working for Human Verification just fine but once we added the patch we get the error: Image verification could not be verified due to server issues.
Image of the error: http://screencast.com/t/b0DctB5osoBn
Thanks
Shane
I'm not sure what might have changed between those versions. But if you want to switch to the new version of reCaptcha there's a mod for that here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=315960 and it has some diagnostics to help wih the "server issues" message. Even if you want to go back to the original version, the diagnostics might help since the mod uses the same connection code as the original reCaptcha.

Thanks KH99,
But no luck.. i still get
"reCAPTCHA could not be verified due to server issues. Please try again later."
I do like the New reCap better but I still get the same error...
Is there any file/s on the server that you may think it can't write to or settings in the DB that would make it so there would be "reCAPTCHA could not be verified due to server issues. Please try again later." ???
Thanks
Shane
Did you try the "Click here to test connection" link that shows up in the Human Verification Manager, on the left?

Kh99 thank you!!!
using that link showed me that I needed cURL installed..
sudo apt-get install php5-curl
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
did the job for me
Thanks
Shane
Glad you figured it out. Yeah. I think the alternate method of connecting was removed in a recent version, and the vbulletin requirements now include cURL.
