Hello Guys,
I have recently installed vBulletin 3 on my website and managed to finish everything I need except that the quick reply box isn't functional! The whole control box isn't working. What might cause such problem? I did some research and found that it might be caused by AJAX if i'm not wrong.
I tried many suggested solutions without any use. Is there any experienced who is willing to help me? If yes, please reply or send me a P.M and I'd be glad to send you the website login info including any specific details you may need.
Thanks in advance :)

What might cause such problem? You can break the quick reply function if you're not careful when editing the Showthread and Postbit templates (I've done it).
If you didn't edit those templates, then it is probably a setting?the forum can be configured so that the user needs to click on the quick reply button within a message before the QR box becomes active.

I don't really remember editing any of those templates before. I tried using the default vBulletin skin and it worked perfectly. Seems that the skin I'm using is producing a kind of bug which is preventing the quick reply box from being enabled/disabled through the buttons.. anyone willing to help? I'd really appreciate it :)

You would need to talk to the coder of the skin as it seems to be a bug with there work

Give a link to the site its easier for a coder to tell you how to fix it with a link so we can see the code. And usually its most likely a missing JavaScript file or a missing JavaScript code that causes these sort of little problems in a custom or premium skin usually when the coder/skinner does not check what they are doing.

I sent you a message with the login info for an administrator account. Please feel free to edit any template if a small change has to be done!

I'm not going to edit it for you. I don't do stuff like that for free, sorry. But I can tell you what the problem is by looking at the code. I just tried to visit the site and your config.php file has been messed with I'm guessing as the site is not up.

Uh you need to talk to whomever did your skin and have them fix that. I hope that you did not pay them for it. When I click on the post a new thread button I get a page with no vbeditor. So your skin is seriously screwed up. Have you made any edits in the templates yourself on this skin and have you installed any mods on the forum yet?

Actually I got this skin from a friend who used to own a website using it! I haven't made any edits with the templates and yes I installed mods, but already disabling them with no use. Do you think you are able of solving this issue? If yes, please send me a message with the price you request.

I registered on your site.
I see you cannot use the Quick reply button on post at all.
Have you tried to set it so you do not need to click Quick Reply.

OK, here is part of your problem. I have seen this so many times in the past.
You have the editor set for all to use as Standard Editor, change it to Basic Editor in your ACP and your Quick Reply button will work.
I just changed mine in USERCP/ Edit Options and the button works.
I will still fix that as well as a few other issues I am seeing with that skin.
