What is the specific error that you're getting and when.

You've effectively told us that you have an error, but not anything else about it. Might as well have told us its raining out side and asked what you can do about it.

Can we get an image of the error? Is this a new installation or an upgrade? If and upgrade, an upgrade from what version?

Also, when did this error start showing up?

yes it is a new installation.
I always test vb as they get release I think this started from VB5.0 but at that time I was thinking that the issue on my end.

You have more than just that issue as your Create New Content page you are showing looks different from my Create New Content page. That suggests that there are other issues.

Have you run maintenance > diagnostics > suspect file version and made sure no files are listed as not containing expected contents? Did you make sure to ONLY have vB5 files in the directory? What is showing in your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host)? Are you using a default style for testing?

I don't see anything pertinent in those logs (are you sure they are for the localhost site and not the whole computer?). What about the other questions I asked?

And do you have cURL enabled on the server?

yes cURL aka extension=php_curl.dll is enabled
if you like you can install xammp and try installing VB4 and VB5 on it and then try making a post on vb4 and 5 and well face the same issue.

you dont have to do this an less its a VB5 bug.
i dont know how the posting making a forum or topic works that are so different for vb4

and yes only VB5 files in my VH folder.

I actually do have vB5 installed on localhost - I've got a Mac though so no xammp for me. It works just fine for me. (Although in the alpha/beta versions, I did have to disable suhosin to run it and have left suhosin disabled.)
