Style Of The Month?

Why is there no style of the month? We have mod of the month, site of the month but no style of the month. I'd bet if you guys implemented a style of the month there would probably be more people willing to share free styles for other members here. :)

Styles are included in the MOTM.

Then perhaps they should separate them. I've been using vBulletin for MANY years and never knew that. It would make more sense. When you say MOD of the month it really does nothing to imply anything about a design. That is probably the reason there is pretty much never a skin nominated.

It's in the same spot for mods and styles, so if you missed seeing it, it stands to reason you would have missed it no matter what it said. :p

IMO the nominating process as well as the voting on MOTM and BOTM have gone down drastically here, and just addons another poll would be useless.

Huh?!? Where? I do not see a forum area for Style of the month. Unless I'm blind and missing something here.

But I do see your point as there has been a drop in this since....well not gonna go there and have a lot of posts deleted again lol.

Ok but when one thinks of a style they do not call it a mod usually. So this has probably caused some confusion for members. And then on top of that they never put a forum area up there for nominations so people most likely assumed that it only worked for the modifications area and did not nominate a style because its NOT a mod. That is my point precisely. The very fact that they call it MOTM in most people's minds only calls for them to nominate a mod. Some people are VERY literal.

no doubt you went to my site to see it lol and it's still in early development (even though i mocked it up over a year ago) im dedicated to completing it, it's the only task on my plate atm, and in the past 2 days i think i got quite a bit going for it. was rly tied up on the avatars part, BUT I GOT IT YAY! and the sectional layouts with no plugin yeah that part was fun =) but no plugin and i can have 1,2,3 & 4 columns where ever i want... yeah thats awesome =)

when i get more than the forumbits complete i MIGHT ask for a couple beta testers, but as of right now its nowhere near ready, i just tried re arranging my forums and columns and about screwed the whole thing up. so looks like the max columns will be 2... but still if you look at my board, you can flip flop between 1 and 2 anywhere. like i did in the middle.

but i've just got the forumbits looking half way decent, theyre still not done but had to get that part done first rather than the header and footer, cause when ever i style i find forumbits, and postbit to be the hardest to get right, so those are the 2 im knocking out first.... although i have no mockup of anything other than the forumhome... so ideas would be awesome at this point if you have any
