Hi,
We're using vBulletin 4.2.2 PL4 and have a problem with the thread subscription setting.
A normal user has his default subscription setting set to "Immediate e-mail notification". He replies to a new thread using the extended editor. This automatically will subscribe him to this thread. In the subscribethread table in the database, the emailupdate column will be set to 1.
Now this user replies to the same thread again and his second reply gets merged with the first one. He again uses the extended editor, which correctly displays "Immediate e-mail notification" for the subscription setting. However, after sending the reply, the emailupdate field in the subscribethread table will be 0. The user is still subscribed to the thread, but the subscription is set to "Only in user control panel" now.
From what I found out so far, this seems to be a bug in vBulletin 4.2.2. Can anybody confirm this? Does anybody know a fix?
