Paid Subscriptions not updating membership

I have two different membership levels on my forum that can be paid for. Firstly I offer 12 months only, straight forward one off payment, member has to renew after a year. Secondly, I offer an annual auto renewing subscription. I've recently noticed that whilst payment is being received into my PayPal, the members title isn't being upgraded to "Premium" and they cannot gain access to the sections reserved for paying members.

I think this was working ok but recently changed the account payments go into. I've updated the PayPal address in the subscriptions section but wonder if I've missed something?

I guess I've confused the issue a little as any existing paid subscriptions will be in the other account and I can;t move those over?

Appreciate any advice on this please.

Check this: Paypal IPN settings you would have to go here on your PayPal account: My account tab > Profile > My setting tools > Instant payment notifications (Middle of the list) > Update. Make sure it is enabled and it is pointing to your sites url.

If it is already set up correctly, then check out, your server's access logs and see if it is actually trying to access your site, should look something like this, 173.0.81.1 - - [28/Aug/2012:21:29:57 +0100] "POST /payment_gateway.php HTTP/1.0" 200 - "-" "-", and then check your sites error log and see if you see something like this, [Tue Aug 28 21:29:57 2012] [error] [client 173.0.81.1] client denied by server configuration:

[HM666]

If all else fails and you cannot resolve this, it is possible to move those funds from account to another just pay yourself with the paypal account that has the funds and be sure to say that you are sending it to family, there will be no charges if you do that.

Many thanks Ozzy. I checked the IPN and found this was pointing to an old site. Iv'e updated the url so hopefully that will cure the issue
:-) Should the url be the full path of the forum without a / at the end?

Whereabouts would I find those log files please?

^HM666, appreciate I can transfer funds over but they're recurring subscriptions that I really need in another account now.

You would need to ask your host where the logs are.

OK, it's updating 12 month only memberships but not recurring memberships :-( Not sure what's happening differently with recurring!

Having this same issue after the 1st of jan. Everything was great before Jan 1st. I have changed nothing and people are still paying but the forum is not reflecting their purchases. Paypal IPN is correct. Any Ideas????????
