I've had a 3 day warning from google adsense for my vbulletin... which I've been using on the "high" setting. They claim that the one unit for guests in the first post is in violation of their policy and should have the word "Advertisement" above it. But, I see no way of doing that in the style area. Can anyone help here? I've already lost $300 by switching to the low setting.

How is it you added the adsense in the post?

I'm just using the "High Setting" in the internal VB controls which displays that ad only to non registered members.

But displaying of adsense is not in vBulletin by default. How is it you are showing it in a post?

I'm using it in the VB control panel. It's part of the software.. and gives me the option of presenting google ads in the high, low or no setting.

Can you show me a screenshot of these settings, so I know what to look for.

When you say "high" setting what do you mean? Do you mean in the header or at the to of the page? If so then are you using the built in Advertisement stuff in the AdminCP?

It's in the Advertising submenu directly under Settings!

That Google Adsense setting is not a part of vBulletin core, that I know of. It must be from a mod you are using on your site.

Actually, I take that back. I see it has to be enabled at vB.com.

So lets do this, open your ad_thread_first_post_content template and add the following in there.

<strong>Advertisement</strong>

The OP maybe using that new Adsense add-on that vB has put out. I do not use it personally so I'm not sure what it looks like. Please give us a link to your site with the Adsense add enabled in the "high" spot then I can see what template and where we can make an edit to add Advertisements above it.

Edit: nevermind i see Ozzy beat me too it lol

This did NOTHING. In fact, when I go to that template, it's a blank screen. I added it anyway... but I'm not seeing any code to manipulate.

The ads are currently active on my site at: http://www.ic-network.com/forum/

Please note that they GOOGLE is ONLY concerned about the 250 by 300 ad that appears in the first post of a discussion. The leaderboards are fine. This is SOOO frustrating!

I see why Google did this ... it looks like part of your first post's content and it can get accidental clicks by your members .... you would have to add the long 728 by 90 add instead and Google should have no problems with that ...

Use ozzy's mod [OzzModz] Advertisement Inside First/Last Post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=314166) and you should be fine ...Google hasn't sent me a warning for this at all so you should be fine and I am using this mod here ...
