Auto payment/registration script

I have quite a private community going at the moment on my vbulletin forum, it's version 3.8.7 but i want to change the registration process a bit.

Right now anyone can register, and they see limited access to the forum, but if they get vouched by existing members then they can be given full access. If they don't know anyone they can pay a small fee to get full priviledges.

Currently, it is all done manually, however, i'd like to try and get some sort of automated payment script installed for registration.

The way i'd like it to work is to allow people to register as they currently do, then when they have limited access, they can either introduce themselves by creating a thread and get vouched, or they can hit a pay now button, which will take them to a payment page, then once they've made the payment they will automatically be promoted to a higher usergroup to get full access to the forum.

Any ideas if this is possible, or if anything like it exists?

You could try installing a donate system and just tweak it to your needs basically changing phrases from donate to payment, or buy now where ever you need to. Then once they pay they would automatically be put into the usergroup of your choice, you set that up in the mod when you install it.

That is good one easy to install and pretty easy to deal with and make changes.

I don't see why you need a mod, you can just change the forum permissions and create an announcement in that forum, also a link to the paid subscriptions area.

Thanks for the responses. I did look at the paid subscriptions bit and was interested in trying it out, but I wanted to add a few other payment methods to it such as Bitcoin. So unless I can somehow add payment methods i'm not sure it will work for what I need?

You can still take payments (yourself) and use the system to give the predefined amount of time.

Well you could hire someone to add the payment types to the Subscription Manager. That would be much cheaper that hiring someone to do a whole system from scratch.
