As our forum is running on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS which runs PHP 5.5.9 (the only version available), we are 'stuck' with some incompatibility 'quirks', most of which I have already fixed with ozzy47's assistance. (Rock on ozzy47!)
One still remains, which is basically cosmetic, but affects a key element of existing and future posts. That's the [ IMG ][ /IMG ] tags.
Any member not having Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing set as their Message Editor Interface, this tag does not work; the tagged URL doesn't get converted to HTML.
The following is a tagged image in one of our Administrators signature. I've put spaces after/before each [ and ] here so you can see the URL:
[ IMG ]http://jointhegame.kde.org/index.php/member/widget?widget=SignatureBanner&member=1336[ /IMG ]
In signatures, it displays only as an active hyperlink (which does work; the image opens in a new tab if clicked). But this is what it is supposed to look like in the signature:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/34.jpg
This also affects all existing tagged images in all posts we have on our forum. But within the posts, the link isn't hyperlinked.
Is there a 'fix' in one or more of the 4.2.2PL3 .php files I can apply to fix this?
