Hi,
I have a small issue. I have only one user 'registered user' who complain about receiving an email for every post is made on our forum. He is just a regular user and the only one in the forum. he didn't subscribe to any thread so far yet the issue is happening.
The mods and admins don't have the same issue 'don't receive the same as the regular user'.
As an Admin, I checked his profile and settings to make sure he didn't auto-receive email for every post yet the issue is still happening.
I found the same question here for vb5: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=314959
any idea what's going on??

he might be subscribed to an entire sub forum or parent forum...
or the other which you mentioned is email notifications in his settings might be set that way...
those are the only two i know of, god speed

You can check "subscribeforum" table using phpmyadmin and see if his userID is in that table.
If his ID is in the table then it means he has a subscription.

Hi mate, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried both ways, but found nothing. there is no subscription for the user at anywhere...

Hi Seven Skins (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?u=271878), how are you doing, man?
Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked the database and didn't find ID of the user at any of these:
subscribeforum
subscribegroup
subscribethread
subscription
I don't understand why this has to be like this sending email for each post or thread!!

I am fine thank you.
- Can you login as him and see his subscriptions etc.
- Check the moderators permissions .. Forum Manager > Show all moderators.
- There is a column name "autosubscribe" in uses table .. it should be -1.

Thanks, man :)
I checked both first and last options you suggested and got no result; no subscription and autosubscribe table value is -1
I found it, I guess. in your 2nd option: moderators permissions--> .. Forum Manager > Show all moderators -->
Receive Email When a New Topic is Created
Receive Email When a New Post is Created
Set both to "No" and save
Thanks that was it :)
