How to add bottom navbar

On my 3.8 forum, I had a bottom navbar that showed after the last thread of all the show thread page. Since upgrading to 4.2.3, I haven't gotten it to work right.

I had it working by simply adding {vb:raw navbar} someplace in the Showthread template. It was fine. Then I installed Dragon Bytes VBeditor tabs so that my members can choose their favorite smiles and my bottom Navbar interfered with that below the quick reply box.

So does anybody have an idea on how to add a bottom navbar to the site?

Above it add {vb:raw navbar}
