Hey,
Are there any designers working on new christmas themes? The current ones seem to get updated from time to time but we have not had any new ones recently and I think it would be nice.
Is anyone planning on making a new one this year? Just curious :)

I have not heard of anyone doing so on here, not sure if any designers are selling one though.

I don't design theme, just design Christmas card instead
you can see one here (http://www.webmastersun.com/threads/5002-Merry-Christmas-amp-Happy-New-Year-2014) (Merry Christmas card 2014)

 So how does this help the OP with a style?
The thing is that a good looking style takes a lot of time, many people just simply recolor a lot and release it, which I don't think looks pretty.
If anyone wants to design a good design in Photoshop, feel free to do so and I will make it into an actual template in my spare time.

I did see that one earlier and got it lined up ready, would be nice to have something newer, just wanted to see if anyone was working on anything that was all.

I haven't really had time to make a new skin in photoshop, but I did make a few slight modifications to my own skin that give it a christmassy look without going into overkill. It only involves a few small images which are pngs with transparent backgrounds, so should work well with any site colour.
I have also included a psd containing not only a logo for xmas, which you can put your own logo into easily, but also ones for other times in the year that I use periodically on my site... in fact, as a suggestion, if someone knows how it could be done, as I have tried in the past and failed, does anyone know how I could write a 'logo image rotator' that would enable an admin to set logo images to appear on specific days of the year in place of the default logo? It'd be similar to what Google does when it puts the doodles on, but for your site logo... For example, at easter there would be a logo with an easter theme, etc... obviously there'd have to be settings by date for fixed holidays such as Xmas, but settings for movable holidays, such as easter... anyway. I digress! EDIT : Just found one!!! https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=286101&highlight=doodle
Back to Xmas. There is a screenshot in the zip file along with the XML and the images, which you should just be able to upload into the root of your site. If anyone wants to give it a go, it's my first try at exporting a theme, so I hope it'll install on other sites correctly. Feel free to make any corrections and reupload it if it's not working for others. I have it running on VB4.2.2 PL2
Thanks :)
PS: If you do use it and get it working on your site, I'd love to know about it, so send me a link.
