Had an issue this afternoon and decided to restart the forum all from scratch some where along the line I have may have done something to this.
The issue i have is not just confined to the control panel HOWEVER it is the easiest example. Another place this appears in on advanced search then Mark forums read and it does the whole www.xxxxxx.co.uk/.php not found.
can i heck think what i messed up

here is the other version of it
It's possible you have a faulty .htaccess file in the root of your forum. You should check that out.

oh found it, it says
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
php_value newrelic.appname "the-unremitting.co.uk"
php_value newrelic.capture_params "false"
php_value newrelic.loglevel "warning"
php_value newrelic.transaction_tracer.record_sql "off"
</IfModule>
does it look correct?

That is not default vbulletin .htaccess. Try to remove it and see if you still get the same problems.
Also try to disable all plugins and see if the issue still persists.

kind of ignored this problem but sites about to go live and tried everything even re-writing the .htaccess file.

You removed the name of the forumhome file in the vBulletin options.
