I do not believe there has been anything made for vB5 like that.

I don't believe it has been added to the core software, or anyone made a mod for it yet.

This can be easily done using a PHP module calling the user API to fetch the users based on the current timestamp and the lastactivity of the users that fall within the last 24 hours.

That'd be a mod I would purchase from http://vbmods.rocks/
Hint Glenn :D
Enjoy,

But couldn't just increase the session time out to 24 hour minutes in admincp options?

Anyways, as I remember this was part of VB4, it was implemented in it....how come that for new version I get less ?
Where is common sense in that?
:erm:

A lot of vB4 features were not copied over to vB5.
In this case it was only added to vB4 in the 4.2.x series, long after vB5 had already been created.
(vB5 was initially based on 4.1.4 code).

I guess all who have VB5 would love to see this implemented.

I don't want it as a core feature. One of the biggest reasons I'm given for people no longer using forums is privacy concerns. They don't want to have to register or supply any personal identifying information and they certainly don't want anyone tracking their activity. If it is added I will be requesting a way to disable it.

Anyone who considers that a privacy concern probably should stay off the internet.
It was (and always has been) possible to turn it off, and also it would not list anyone who set themselves as invisible.
Assuming it ever made it to vB5, I see no reason it would not be the same.

Imagine that you live in nice neighbourhood and suddenly someone (like you) came one day and paint all windows in black and instead of sidewalks we have trenches....that someone decided so, and you cant see your friends and neighbors any more, only sometimes if that someone (is that still you?) let you see them...
This mod is must have, who says otherwise he is......
I just dont understand that After few years people still dont miss this, its like I have a bad dream  or just few people use VB5 !? :erm:
ps
if you dont want to use it thats fine, but what would you have against having it as an option at least?
Assuming I ever made it for vB5....
Ohh great, when when? :D

This is true, however we're dealing with perception being reality for the average user.
If a person thinks they are in control of their information it's always better than if they think someone else is in control of it.

I will, but problem is I can not afford much for modifications....Most of my mods are free (80%), only few are paid.

I seen that, it looks like it's working well?
Do you have an ETA for public release, or in need of testers?

The lack of addon development is killing VB. I lost so many users when I went to VB5.
