Limited Moderators

I'm just about to upgrade to 4.2.2

After that I want to be able to assign a moderator to a specific sub forum and only that subforum. To make it clearer, I want him to be able to do normal moderator type stuff in a particular sub forum but nowhere else on the rest of the forum and also NOT be able to ban users or give them infractions and so on.

Is this possible or is there a mod that will do this that will work on 4.2.2?

You don't need a mod to this you can do it with the base software. In the forum manager go to the forum in question and in the dropdown choose "Add Moderator" and give the permissions you want for the member. For no ban right make sure that Can Ban Users is set to no.
