Hello,
Does anyone knows if there is a vBulletin restriction (otherwise is a style's restriction) on the total amount of menu tabs in Navigation?
I added 7 tabs and they work fine. Trying to add the 8th, the tab appears, but in Navigation manager I'm seeing that I need to add a menu to this tab. Somehow (if I understood well) to place all othe menu tabs that I had in mind to show in navigation, to add them as submenu in 8th tab.
My site: http://www.xxx24.gr
Please note that I have removed the search input to freeup space but again I got the same issue.
Thank you

On my test site, I have 10 navtabs and all work fine and 'normal'. I have never heard talk of any restriction, however they don't all fit well if you make the browser window narrow.

Thank you Lynne. There is space available even for one more tab. What confuses me is the message that appears in tab details. Seems to be a native vBulletin message and never met it before. See the attached screenshot.

I searched for the text and it belongs to phrase: create_nav_sub_menu .
I'm running 4.2.2 PL1

You need to make subitems, before that tab can be used as a menu...

Thank you. This means that:
The max amount of tabs is 8 even if I've space available for more (eg 10)?
What if my need is to be a link in a specific file (in my case payments.php). I must add this only as menu item in the tab?

You set that tab to be a menu, so it needs to have menu items to be a menu.
There are no limits on tabs.

It's just saying that *if* you want the tab to be a menu, you must create the sub-menu first. Once you create the submenu, then you will have a Target Menu option available to you.

That's the problem. I didn't set anything. For all tabs that I created I used the same way. Clicking the "Add Tab" on the Navigation Manager.
The difference is that, as you can see in the screenshot, till the 7th tab there are options available for Targer Menu (in my case Use Target URL). But in the 8th tab there is no such option but instead it says to create a submenu.
Please note that I've been mistaken in my initial post by talking for custom style problem. I'm not using any 3nd party style. I'm just working on a copy of the default style. Also note that I haven't such problem to the previous vB version (the one before 4.2.2, don't remember the exact version number).

@Lynne
But I don't want to have a submenu. I just want a tab with title "Buy Now" which will redirects to payments.php
I've tried with these details as 7th tab and works. But does not works as 8th tab. What I mean does not works. The tab appears in the Navigation (even without a lighting effect that I've) but clicking it does nothing. Not going to wrong page, not reloading the page. Nothing.

Then just save the tab. All that notice is saying is that since you don't have any sub-menus for it, you aren't allowed to make it a Menu (dropdown) tab - it will just be a normal tab.

Ok, I fixed it. I've removed the search bar from the navigation but I had left the "Advanced search" menu. Now I removed even this and it works.
