We use the Revive ad server, and then paste the invocation code provided in the ad server into the vBulletin 5 ad modules. This allows us to combine adsense, commission junction and internally sold ads into a single platform, and then pick and choose where each one appears within vBulletin. Took us about 15 minutes to get Revive installed, and maybe another 30 minutes to figure out how it all works.
