Another mod brought to you by,
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/1.png

This mod adds usergroup permissions for which usergroups can mark the forums read.

It is a simple installation, just import the product XML, ozzmodz_mark_read

You can edit the options under the settings, [OzzModz] Mark Forums Read Permission By Usergroup Settings

If a user is in a usergroup that does not have permission to mark forums read and somehow tries to, they will be shown a custom vBulletin no permissions message. This mod also removes the Mark Forums Read link on the forumhome page, forum tools dropdown in forumdisplay and the navbar link. :)

Complete Feature List

Option to disable the mod completely.
Option to select which usergroups can not mark forums read.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask?

A. Some admins might like to ensure users read the forums, rather than marking them read.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

I appreciate the support!

Hi ozzy47,

It's not working for me. :( I get this error message "Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" and my plugin settings:
- Set this to "Yes" to enable the mod. (yes)
- Can Not Mark Forums Read: Any usergroup selected.

Hmmm, I'll look into it as soon as I have a chance. Been a bit under the weather, so it might be a day or two.
