This is a small mod that will allow admins to set different maximum characters in private messages per usergroup.
It is a simple installation, upload the contents of the upload folder to your site, then import the product XML, ozzmodz_pmmaxchars_38
There is only one setting for the mod under, [OzzModz] Different Maximum Characters In PM's Per Usergroup Settings
You will have to edit each usergroup individually, and find the option, Maximum Characters In Private Messages , which should be in the group, Private Message Permissions. Note, if you do not set a maximum character count for a group, it will stay at the default character count Maximum Characters Per Private Message you set up in vBoptions.

Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask?
A. Sometimes you want your usergroups to have a different maximum character count they can send in private messages, rather than the standard Maximum Characters Per Private Message.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?
* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.
* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.
* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.
