There was something for vB3, perhaps you can adapt it to your needs, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201986

Yeah tried that but didn't work and I also saw someone mentioned there that it wouldn't work. So any alternative please?

Then the only other options are to code it yourself, or pay someone to do it.

See this page:

Does not rely Tynt, and very simple to add to your forum. I use it myself.

I tried that Krusty, but it seems when you paste any copied text in the editor, nothing shows up, so this will for sure tell the user something is up.

I'm not sure what you mean by copying into a text editor?
What happens on the site is if a non member copies a thread by c/p directly from the forum then it adds the URL to the copied post to wherever the c/p is copied to.
It by no means stops anyone from copying content, but it can be annoying.
Here is an example using notepad.
I thought this was what the OP was after?

Right, but lets say I copy text from a site that is using the javascript. Now when I go to my site, and paste what I copied into the reply box, it shows nothing in there, but when you click submit, it in fact does post what I copied, along with the read more at bla, bla,bla
So what I am saying, is the text I copied should show up when I paste it in the reply box.

I'm not sure why it would do that. I realize this is the VB3 discussion and I am using it on VB4, but do not see why it would not work on that version?
In what you described I cannot replicate that. When content is copied from our forum, the link gets added and is visible with the content when posted somewhere else.
Strange indeed.

Perhaps you need to read this article Adding "Read More" link to Copied Text from your Website (http://www.webmastersun.com/threads/6848-Adding-quot-Read-More-quot-link-to-Copied-Text-from-your-Website-)
You only need Jquery for that, it's simple :)
Hope it helps!

These days though I do not think it is wise to just have a link plastered all over. Is there a rel="nofollow" added in this code?

No there is not a nofollow added to it.

True, it is just a matter of removing the link when pasting.
One way to at least make it a bit more time consuming is to use the no right click mod Ozzy has. This will deter those not smart enough to use keyboard short cuts. :)

All you can do is flow people down.
If you truly don't want people to copy your content, there is a very simple solution to it, Don't Post It On The Internet. :)
