Spams.. HELP!

I'm having this spam thing. I have added a special question while registering to forum but bots still come.

Any real solutions?

Exactly! Please, read that thread before you install or do anything else with spam. I did everything in that thread when I first launched my site and opened it to the public, and I NEVER get spam on my forum. And I dont have any Captchas, Security Questions, Prove Your Human things, Nothing that makes a user have to input, everything works behind the scenes, on the backend. Its the best thing I have did to my forum (And I have a $600 custom style for my forum), and you can't even see it, because it works in the backend.

Now you might get spam once in a great while, but its nothing. I'm talking about 1 spam post every few months, maybe twice a year, if that. Because there is nothing you can do about Human users that register and post spam until they actually post the spam. But like I said, its nothing. Spam bots are the real problem, they can completely cover a forum in nothing but spam in just a few mins to an hour. And in doing so, can take up a lot of server resources and bandwidth. Check out Ozzy's link, and read through that thread, you will be very surprised. You may not even believe it at first, I know I didn't, not until I seen it for myself.

There was more than two mods I
recommended, and to be totally honest, I would not use vBresults mod, I would do as I suggested.

Please, do what Ozzy suggested. It might be a lot of work, but you only need to do it once. Would you rather spend an hour (maybe 2 hours) and stop your forum spam completely, or spend 5mins to cut corners and get hammered with Spam every day?

Running a successful forum might not be that hard, but I can tell you that it is VERY time consuming. And if you do cut corners and not do whats in the thread that Ozzy posted, you will get hammered by spam, and when guests see a forum getting hit with a lot of spam and the Owner isnt doing anything about it, most of the guests wont even register. Not to mention what it does to your Search Engine Rankings.

The point is, if you want a successful forum, you MUST do something about the spam. Its not just a simple install of a single mod, that will not cut it. Read the thread Ozzy posted, and it will fix your Spam problem. If you dont, then your asking to get hammered with spam.
