Hello.
I just moved my system from a Windows XP server to a Linux server. I got vBulletin 3.8.5 installed (this is the version I am happy with) and successfully restored the mySQL database from the original system.
The site is intact and works fine with one exception. Everything is seen with the word UPLOAD in the URL. To state more clearly:
192.168.1.10/ : produces a vBulletin database error
192.168.1.10/upload : shows the entire functioning system.
The original install.php was in the upload directory. Where did I mess up?
