Is this a known problem that upload portrait picture is landscape in vbulletin.
What can you do about this?
I don't think vbulletin is the problem. I think the problem is that some images contain information about what rotation angle should be applied when displaying, but not all browsers obey it.
Edit: ...well, I suppose if vbulletin has resized it then it could be that the orientation is getting lost.

To what section of the software were you uploading your image to?

The picture isn't actually taken that way, the picture has meta data about it that isn't being used by vBulletin, or your browser, once its uploaded.
Most browsers display the picture as it is, without respect to its meta dat.

If we take a look at Facebook for example, where there is no problem with pictures, easy to rotate a photo if you wish, but in vBulletin is a disaster when it comes to image upload. Today, people use various media to upload their images, but vBulletin is very limited.

Because facebook processes their images to do this, where as we (vBulletin) does not.
