adding banners between posts

I know banners are the scurge of many but they do help pay the server bill. anyway....

I have found that banners at the top of the page have miserable click thorugh rates. This is probably because by the time they have loaded the visitor has scrolled down to the bottom ready for the post.

What I really want to do is have the banner after x number of posts. Probably I would want to set it up with 20 posts per page but with a banner between the 10th and 11th post.

Is this easy? what do i have to do?

Yes it would be easy to do in showthread.php. There is a while loop that goes through each post. You would just insert a counter and throw out a banner if the counter hits 10 and then reset it.

btw why do you call your forum "SciFi" when it appears to be heavily slanted at only Stargate.

And also because i want to work out a way for http://www.ascifi.com/fourms/index.php (ie without a go=x call to go load a different .php file but as i am brand new to php (ie used it for about 1 week) i do not know how to do this yet. When i do that page will ask you to select your show of choice or film.
