Allow thread creators to edit original post

Is there an option to allow thread creators to only edit the original thread post but not other posts in the thread?

My reasoning for wanting to do this is users can post files, mods etc and when a new version comes out they have to post many pages down into the thread.

I have editing of posts turned off after 15 minutes but would like to allow the original post to be edited so it is easy for users to find the latest version.

So you want the first post to be able to be edited, but all other posts follow the 15 minute rule?

Do you want this to only apply to certain forums or all?

Do you want it to be per usergroup having this ability? - Per user group would be nice, then I can just put the people that do these types of uploads into a group.

I saw that Lynne, but that does not have the usergroup ability, ;)

True, but it shouldn't be too hard to just modify the couple of plugins to make it only work for some usergroups. It's re-usable code, so if you want to add the usergroup ability to it, then feel free to do so.
