Good morning,

I have problem with the registration script on a site. Upon submitting a registration application, we keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/tarheel1/public_html/register.php(347) : eval()'d code on line 52

Any ideas on how to resolve this or go about troubleshooting?

Thanks!

Jeff

This is probably caused by a plugin (with the hook register_addmember_process), see if you have any plugin installed related to registrations and disable it. See if that works.

voglermc,

You are currently showing up as unlicensed.

To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-Germany users click here (http://members.vbulletin-germany.com/membersupport_priority.php)) and enter your email address. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

To protect our customers privacy you will also need to Opt-In to license validation for all Support Sites. You must authorise vBulletin.org in order to validate your license status here. You can do this at the page linked above for your distributor. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

The update of your account can take up to one hour.

Thank you.

Thanks Dave. I ended up disabling all of the plugins with that hook (we have about half a dozen spam blockers) and that fixed the issue. Of course, now I need to figure out which one of the plugins decided to go rogue so I can get some spam protection back in place.

Seems like this fixed a couple other issues we were having as well.
