Taking it 1 step further and add rotation so multiple sponsors
can be in each spot.

Also, a link there that says " YOUR AD HERE"
once click the sponsor can be taken to a page for payment
and to upload graphic/text. This would be for x amount
of time.. for example 1 week 2 week sponsorships, etc.

Also the ability to use this hack on a non-vB php page.

I can pay you some $ via pay pal if you down to do this.
It would help so much in raising funds to pay for the
site maintenance.

Please let me know. I am sure others
would find this helpfull.

you might want to looking into a php/mysql banner ad system... take a look at hotscripts.com, and if you find something just integrate it with the sponsors hack.
