hi, do you have to do Step 4, "Register your application to make all features available" $XX?
or can we use this free without doing step 4?
after reading about this chat, you are making it look like the chat is free?
if it is free, what extra features do you get in the paid version please? buy what you wrote above and reading on your site at the paid version, it says the same thing.
also in step 4, you have a redirect URL, whats that about? why cant you just add the direct URL to the product.
ah, and you mite want to update your vb5 URL in this thread, because its the URL to this thread vb4 version.

Nobody can surely afford to give away a video chat? I would be interested, if the questions above are answered.

Hi there I am interested in this also. I would like to know if you can adjust this by groups. Meaning, can you allow and deny certain groups? Thanks.
Edit: Saw that you can.
Has anyone tested this yet?

ok, i decided to be the test dummy.
what i cant really figure out is:
Step 3, Install all necessary database tables. Open the following url in your browser for that:
http://<Vbulletin install directory>/rzchat/XML.php?action=install
where <Vbulletin install directory> should be replaced with your vBulleting site url
when you run http://forumsurl/rzchat/XML.php?action=install
all you get is this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
anyway, after that i went to the chat and it asks for nickname, so i put in test, and then this pops up:
http://www.imageghost.com/images/332014_06_07_112942.png
so wanting to test this out, i thought i would register a Cirrus developer key. then it says to login as admin and goto settings in the chat and add that key. mind you, nothing is said in this post or instructions about having to register a Cirrus developer key.
im kinda stuck at, trying to find where to login as admin?
http://www.imageghost.com/images/242014_06_07_112902.png
if you login as guest, theres no setting option to add keys as such.
http://www.imageghost.com/images/572014_06_07_113024.png
so what now, do we have to pay to unlock something to access admin chat panel?
i followed instructions down to a tee. the only step left is:
Step 4, Register your application to make all features available
Go to http://www.rayzzz.com/redirect.php?action=about&widget=chat&target=rz and get a license.
Then login your site with admin account and go to http://<Vbulletin install directory>/rzchat.php
Open Settings and enter the obtained license to "License" text field. Apply the changes.
but you have to pay for that.
im kinda lost like the rest of us, is this free or do we have to pay?
thanks.

Hello
This application can be translated into spanish.
Now about other questions.
All manuals regarding this product are located at: http://rayzzz.com/docs/chat
Installation manual (for VB5, but it's similar to VB4) is at http://rayzzz.com/docs/chat/install/vbulletin
The product is free with my ads at the bottom. If you want to remove ads, then you need to buy a license ($40) at http://rayzzz.com/store/chat
As for adding cirrus key to the settings read at the installation manual.
P.S. thanks for reporting bad link to VB5, just fixed

OK, somehow, not sure how, I think I have managed to install this! What isn't being shown in your image, ShawneyJ is the Config Option, which should be in the Settings of the actual video chat settings. (rzchat.php)
I believe that to get the video chat and other goodies you need to purchase a licence; otherwise it is just the text chat, but I could be wrong

You are wrong. The version of this chat is full, however at least 2 users should be online in the chat in order to see audio/video features on. Also don't forget to add adobe labs developer key to the settings. Learn more at http://rayzzz.com/docs/chat/install/vbulletin
Buying license does only one thing - removes "Powered by" text from the bottom of the application.

Wow amazing service from them. Had issues with the install on our website. Emailed and responded immediately and helped install on our website. Will be looking at unbranding version
I`ve joined Shawney in beeing a test dummy, but I wasn?t able to bring the chat to live.
1. Following the instrcutions to open /rzchat/XML.php?action=install, it did nothing. I?ve found no db changes, too and all in all it resulted in the same picture, that Shawney posted:
http://www.imageghost.com/images/722014_06_07_112813.png
2. I?m using a fluid, centered style. The first impression after opening rzchat.php was, that the forums were aligned to the left border, instead of beeing centered.
3. The chat loads forever and nothing else happens. No pop-up, no error-mesages. Nothing.
May be the author can lend us a hand on his mod, cause we all seem to be stuck.
Promising mod, but it should work ;) Would love to give it shot.
I?ld like to take the chance to address some other issues in the meantime.
1. As I found out on your site rayzzz.com, the video quality is appropiate for the tiny videos. But when popping the video out to make it bigger, the quality stays at the same level as for the tiny ones. To do so produces a very low quality video, that as near to unusable. Unfortunal the quality settings don?t change accordingly to match the window size. I would love to see that these could be adopted to the window size. As the traffic goes directly from end to end, it shouldn?t bother how much traffic they use of their bandwith - as long as its not ours ;)
2. A suggestion: it?s a bit unhandy to have no options in the admincp, where we could alter some settings. Like usergroups settings (i.e. what about your moderators? If an administrator isn?t present, nobody could ban or kick trolls). With usergroup settings it would be possible to restrict acces to the video part to i.e. premium members aso. There would be infinite possibilities, where we could make use of usergroup settings. May be you want to implement this to your mod, as it seems not that hard to do.
3. - and this is my biggest concern:
So far I understood your mod, it tries to manipulate the vBulletin database via alter and create. A chat-system commingly has a heavy toll in terms of server load and usage. To merge a chat-system into a vbulletin database is in all cases only second best. Sure, it minimizes the installation time. But the fact that the system has a significant negative impact to vB4/vB5 forums performance - that has evolved more worse than bad in comparison to vb3 or other forums software -overweighs the ease of installation in every aspect. I would like to suggest that an isolated database should be utilized. Last but not least due to security reasons. Flash und js are still one - if not the - main entrance for hackers. Because I am not able to check the whole mod with his endless .swf and js. files for security holes, I?ld definitly strongly recommend going this way with a seperate database.
Your mod is really very promising and I am eager to give it a go on my site, as long as the said isn?t overweighting the benefits. But that said, site security can?t be overweighted even by a "best mod of all times", so I really hope you?re going that road - or somebody proofs my concern as unlegitimated ;)
All in all: a refreshing surprise what you've created with this mod.
Keep up the good work, TandyServices!

I know what version this one is for. I get this on installing this one for vb4
ignore the other comment I will post there like all others have and say that version for vb5 wont install
I think OP made a little mistake because the installation URL is supposed to be this: http://yoursite.com/rzchat/XML.php?rzaction=install (rzaction instead of action)
The chat works and it's pretty cool but this plugin is vulnerable to SQL injection and arbitrary file upload so I would not use this for now.
