Hi Y'all,
Please excuse the noob questions, i'm totally new to this sort of thing.

I installed VB5, uploaded my logo and i liked the sizing of it.

Then i switched to VB4 after reading comments here and when i upload my logo its huge.

How can i adjust it so that its the same size as under VB5?

Thanks

You use the image editor of your choice to resize the image locally, then reupload the file. IrfanView, for example.

When i tried that, it looked like it lost some of its quality but i will give it another go.

Does anyone know what VB defaults the logo size to when you upload a big logo?

Of course you need to make sure that you don't loose to much quality in the process, but that's not really a vB problem.

vB4 does not default to anything. If you upload a large image, a large image will be shown. It is not a good idea to upload large pictures and then resize them via css, wich only will make them appear smaller, but the user's browser still downloads the larger file.

When i first installed VB5, it automatically sized it to fit. Obviously thats not happening in VB4 but i liked the sizing in VB5 and just wanted to know what VB5 would have changed that too so i can get the person who did the logo to send me the right size.

I do not use vB5, but looking at the logo's CSS at vbulletin.com it seems that larger images are resized to a maximum width of 320 pixels in the default installation.
