Hi,

I have bought a PDF instruction on how to integrate vBulletin into a WP theme, so the vB forum is shown within the same header and footer as the rest of the site. The instructions are bought from obscureclouddon including 7 days of e-mail support, but so far I received no response on my support requests. So now I hope that someone here, would be kind enough to help me find a solution for a problem I ran into.

I'm a rookie in php, wp and vBulltin, so I hope you have some patience :)

The idea with the theme integration is, that a plugin in vBulletin calls a header and a footer file (copies of the original theme header and footer, that can be modified as wished).

But now I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function do_action() in /var/www/gourmetbar.dk/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/footer2.php on line 27.

My footer2 file looks like this. I've commented out two lines that first gave me an error (the lines starting with "//x"). I've also deleted closing body and header tags in the end of the file (instructed in the instructions):

<?php
/**
* Template for displaying the footer
*
* Contains the closing of the id=main div and all content after
*
* @package WordPress
* @subpackage Twenty_Eleven
* @since Twenty Eleven 1.0
*/
?>

</div><!-- #main -->

<footer id="colophon" role="contentinfo">

<?php
/*
* A sidebar in the footer? Yep. You can can customize
* your footer with three columns of widgets.
*/
//x if ( ! is_404() )
//x get_sidebar( 'footer' );
?>

<div id="site-generator">
<?php do_action( 'twentyeleven_credits' ); ?>
<a href="<?php echo esc_url( __( 'http://wordpress.org/', 'twentyeleven' ) ); ?>" title="<?php esc_attr_e( 'Semantic Personal Publishing Platform', 'twentyeleven' ); ?>"><?php printf( __( 'Proudly powered by %s', 'twentyeleven' ), 'WordPress' ); ?></a>
</div>
</footer><!-- #colophon -->
</div><!-- #page -->

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

I really hope that someone can help.

You say you are a rookie but you have been registered here since 2009 ?

I would suggest since you purchased the pdf on how to do this you also hit them up for support. They cost you money but here it's free.

Hope ya get it worked out.

Since vB 5 doesn't use plugins in the sense that older versions of vB did, I tend to believe what you purchased is for vB 3 or 4.

This really looks like a solution for vb4; not vb5.

If you want to do similar on vb5, it will involve some manual customization. Problematic but doable.
