HELP

I am trying to set up admin rights for other users, however it says i cant access it, i have added the user Id to the config file But still Will not work.

can anyone help me please.

Post a screenshot of what you did in the config. Also you dont give someone admin from the config only superadmin and a few other things

And did you change their group in the admincp first and give them permissions once you did

i cant i log in as user id 1 and it still says the same thing

Did you install any new plugins just before this happened

Yes A few Plugins, i didnt set vbulletin up i had a friend do it But I have installed Vbulletin plugins

To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Use notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.5.5.html) to edit the config file

Remove the userID from config.php
Assign all the permisssions you want.
Add them back to config.php

yes that is what i am doing and it still doesnt work,

$config['SpecialUsers']['undeletableusers'] = '1';
$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1';

Remove userID from these two settings in config.php and you should be able to edit user permissions.

Hmm, please do make sure you are editing the correct config.php file and uploading it the the correct location.
