Resend all Emails for account activation

Hello,
There was a long time problem with smtp so many users dont recive activation email for registration.
how can i resend all this activation email to all users in the group "Users Awaiting Email Confirmation"

i hope you can help me with an easy solution.

sending email via vb email funktion.
i think there is no other way or?

I haven't tested that this is actually what you want, but if you go into admin control panel -->scheduled Tasks-->scheduled task manager-->activation reminder email there's a button to "run" that cron job.

Activation Reminder Email
This script sends reminder emails to users in the Awaiting Confirmation usergroup. An email is sent one day after the user has registered and again at five days.

it might not work beyond the 5 day mark mentioned though...I don't know.
